Title: Club Cook Out & Flying
Post by: Rusty on June 21, 2023, 12:32:21 AM
Hello Guys,

On July 15, 2023 I am putting on a cook out at my club, Airmaster's R/C Club in Sebastian, FL., and inviting anybody that wants to come and fly control line with me.  I would recommend arriving around 8:00am because at 10:00am I am going to start cooking.

I have started putting effort into control line now because the club will let me fly in an open area on the property and they show an interest in control line.  I showed them my Magician I scratch built in the club meeting show and tell.  They asked me to fly a demonstration at the cook out and honestly, my flying is lousy due to inactivity.  I have invited Dennis and Len to attend, so they can see how it is supposed to be done.

I am thankful to Airmasters for being open to control line as I have missed flying it.  I met a couple of guys in the club that I flew with when I was a teenager.  That was amazing to meet them again.  They don't fly now, but remember the places we flew in the early 70s.

Attached is the flyer I made for the cook out and a link to the club website.  **Note:  You have to have AMA to fly at the club site.**

Rusty,
I hope a few more guys can make it out and that we have good weather. Can you let us know the condition of the grass at the field?

Best,  DennisT

Dennis, look at the website.   The home page picture shows the area to the left. It is low cut.  I  use 2" wheels on my ringmaster.   60 ' lines are the longest you can use.
