Had a close call today with my ARF Nobler. I have to remember, KEEP THOSE MANEUVERS HIGH. Also lost a Rev Up 10-6EW. Not many of those left.

I hate to admit it, but been there, done that (twice!!). n~

Sorry to see it Garf,
Ouch!
And what Maneuvers were you doing at the time of impact?

I suspect it won't take much to knock the tail off of the Nobler ARF, at least on mine. I've had to cut mine open and re-glue once due to lack of glue.
-
Not much wood in there either.

Horizontal 8 with a mis adjusted handle. It clipped the ground then continued flying. I managed to get it upright for a wheels down landing.

... KEEP THOSE MANEUVERS HIGH...
At LEAST in the upper hemisphere! :o
Looks easily fixable...'cept for the prop. Be sure to look for stress cracks from the vibration. Good luck with repairs.

Don't do tricks with a misadjusted handle. You can watch a plane fly, watch the pilot, and see that the handle is misadjusted. Sometimes they don't fix it, even when you point it out to them.
How do you know your handle is misadjusted? If you can't get it to fly level at the correct height, either upright or inverted, that's a big tipoff. Work on it. R%%%% Steve

The engine stopped instantly, so there shouldn't be a problem.

5 minute epoxy rules.

I hereby bequeath my nick name of "rudderless" to thee. That's why I use Ambroid to glue on rudders, it can be repaired in the field. Epoxy and or super glues make it more difficult. y1 H^^
Speaking of Ambroid, I scored a tube at my LHS a few days ago. Owner said she had not been able to stock it for awhile so, if you have trouble finding it, keep the faith.
