The forum is online and working fine.  It was off briefly a day and a half ago.  I do not know the reason for that as the website itself was up, showing the server was on.  I am guessing that they were upgrading the php program which the forum relies on as it came back again rather quickly (before I could figure out what was wrong as a matter of fact).  But it is working now.

If you are having troubles, I would suggest you reboot the computer, and, if necessary, delete the cookies for clstunt.com and www.clstunt.com.  There will be two of each.  When you do this, you will need to log back on and the forum will issue you a new cookie which is used to keep you logged on.  (Nothing bad happens.  This isn't a tracking cookie or anything.)

I have tried on 3 different computers and still no good. So Bob K if you see this you need to look into it.

Here is the reply from Len.

You are right, Sparky.  It was working when I last checked last night and
was working briefly when I checked this morning.  It is down again.  I sent
a ticket to the host techs.  This time the entire server is down.  The forum
was down briefly yesterday, but the rest of the site was responding.  The
forum came back up before I could check anything so I assumed they were
changing the php program (updates?)   It is down again now and they probably
have to reboot.  Should be back up shortly.

Is SSW down?

Gentlemen;

I am getting through to SSW just fine from work.  I could not get through last night.  The message I got was not that the site was down, but could not be found.  When that happens, its usually a breakdown of the Domain Name Servers or an error in the latest update that is sent out to DNSs throughout the internet.  If the DNS that your ISP uses can not resolve the "www.clstunt.com" or "clstunt.com" to an IP address, it isn't going through.

For those who can't get through, I would appreciate it if you would try a little experiment.

Try the following link:

http://69.50.207.83/htdocs/dc/dcboard.php

If you get through, it means that there is a problem with either the DNS server(s) that your site is using or the daily update that went out to DNS servers that have deleted the domain of www.clstunt.com and/or clstunt.com from resolving to the IP address of 67.18.20.213  .

Please let me know of any successes or failures.

Sparky - thanks for allowing the bandwidth.

V/r

Sorry you guys aren't able to access SSW. I can get in OK through my computer at work. However, I notice that there are very few new postings on SSW so obviously others are having problems accessing SSW also. :-\

Well, the good news is the site isn't down, just the road to it....

Now, the tough part is to figure out how to fix the road.

I just tried logging in via Bob's link and still can't get in.  I appears there is some kind of name resolution problem with the DNS server.   Some of you can get via the pure IP address and nobody can get in via the Host name.  I am sure they will get it strightened out soon.  We need all the C/L sites we can get.  I even go and check in on the Ringmaster site once in a while.
