Hello Modelers,
Please tell me who is the authority for Classic Models for competition. Who or what entity has the rules for what is "legal" for a Classic stunt model.
Thanks,
Addis

I believe there is a set of PAMPA Stunt rules for the Classic Stunt Event as used At VSC and most Classic events currently flown!
Check the PAMPA Website. Basically it's the same pattern as the modern AMA pattern, and airplanes are any Stunt planes designed and/or flown between Dec 31, 1952 and Dec 31, 1969. Some sort of believable documentation representing the design and the time frame is typically all that is really required. Pretty loose. Can't fly a "Impact" however some of the allowable designs fly about that good! For instance Werwage's USA 1.

It seems the "Classic" section of this forum is a great source of information.

Attached file are the PAMPA Classic rules
Here is a link to a website that lists classic legal models based on publications. There are certainly other legal candidates

Hi friends, I believe that the crux of the question was what are the dates for eligibility for Classic Stunt? My understanding of the answer to that question is any plane designed, published ,kitted, of verifiable as having been around as of December 31,1969. therefore any Old Time plane of relevant pedigree would also be eligible for Classic Stunt per SE! Now Nostalgia Stunt is an entirely different thing since it incorporates a moving date or dates being 30 years old or older!
Viz. if you are more modern design focused this year would permit designs as of 1985 as back would be just fine! I suspect that you could even refine this parameter by date as in months of 1985!
