Flying at Buder Park
« on: September 03, 2007, 06:27:16 PM »
We went to St. Louis this past weekend to visit with family and take in the air show (the first one I've ever been to).  While we where up my brother in law and I had planned to fly on Saturday.  We took in both Shaffer's and Mark Twain Hobby Shops (and managed to harass Dan M.).  We had a 1/2 profile that we tried to slow down as much as possible and got my little boy (5 years old) in the air for the first time y1.  I had to hold my hand over the handle the entire time but he had a blast.  I have a trainer I have been planning to build for him, now I have to get on the ball and get it done because he is ready to go again. #^

I'll try and post some pictures when I get time to upload them.

James,

Sorry I missed you.  I noticed your name in chalk in our usual fashion and was disappointed I was not out at the field on Sunday to see you and your son.  Got out there on Monday and had a good time with Sparky, Bob Arata, and Joe Thompson until it got too hot.

Steve
Thanks,

Steve,

I'm hoping to get an early enough flight back from Columbus in time to make the Sunday portion of the contes.

I'm planning on coming up for the Broken Arrow.  Looking forward to the customary Friday afternoon preparation session.
