Just mailed out yesterday, Friday Jan. 12th. #^
I really hope you guys enjoy this one. We worked many, many long hour days to get this done.
Next issue will be even better.
Please email you thoughts and suggestions to us and if you want to contribute we are all ears. Everyone in the hobby has things they know or are doing that would make interesting reading to the rest of us. Everyone has a topic they would like covered. We plan to print lots of pictures and want to show the full realm of CL and its interest.
You have all seen what the top 5 are doing over and over, nothing new there, it is time to look at what the rest of us and the world are doing. There are many wonderful models out there and ideas and interesting people that we have a wealth of topics and people to bring to the pages of CLW magazine. The cry for technical help is deafening and we are listening. The need to know some of the inside secrets of the really knowledgeable are being sought out for print. What's new and innovative, what works, where to get it, contest coverage world wide, and many more topics. This is not just about competition but about what people are doing in CL and what people want to do in CL. Just because you do not go to the Nat's does not mean you do not want to build a P51 like Al Rabe or that you do not want a great flying plane for your weekend pleasure.
This is the angle we want to pursue and of course there will be all the info we can get to better compete in all events. We intend to take you inside and under the hood not just skim the surface.

I'm real anxious to see mine, hopefully it won't take as long to get here as my first issue did. For some unknown reason, I didn't get it for like month or more after I saw people starting to recieve theirs-even overseas! #^

Mine turned up on Thursday (Australia). ;D ;D ;D

Mine was waiting for me when I got home from crossing duty. Put the boob tube on record for the UFC shows. Laid down on the bed and thumbed thru it to start with. A lot of good info in there. This is great for those of us that fly more than one type of event. Love all of control line type flying, should say all types of model airplanes. But, I need a shop of at least 100,000+ sq ft. "Control Line World" and "Stunt News" give me all I need. I don't think my old pea brain could handle any more information. The main thing I like about these publications is they're mostly all "beef". Glen

I particularly liked Bob Zambelli's Cowl making article. Especially the part about slipping the condom on the male plug and applying the resin ".. using slow even downward strokes." y1 hmm maybe I should have left out the little guy.
The only difficulty is whether we can get the LHS to stock the condoms!
In truth, the article looks like a good way to make cowls.

I liked the photo where the profile B-25 was superimposed over the actual wartime photo of B-25's. I have seen the original photograph in several magazines so when I saw the shot in Control Line World it really caught my eye.
