Like many others, I just recieved issue number 2 and I'm more than pleased - IT'S GREAT!!! #^ #^
I truly believe that this will become a world-class publication and possibly the biggest boost that C/L ever had. y1
Here's a suggestion. Note that every writer in the magazine has either an e-mail or US mail address.
Reason being, among other, to encourage feedback. If you have any ideas, contact the appropriate contributor and let them know.
I just recieved a really clever suggestion from Australia and I included it in my next Z-Tech Tips column. ;D

I received my CLW a few days ago and it is even better than I could have hoped for. Thanks to all who had a part in it. It is obvious that it is a "labor of love" from start to finish.
I would highly reccomend it to anyone regardless of your level of skill. Even a flier like myself who can bask in the glory of a successful wingover, for several hours.

Received mine yesterday, can't add anything to what has already been said, especially enjoyed the trimming column. For years I have been seeing posts that reccomend sealing your hinge lines but this the first time I read an explanation of why clear enough to convince me that it just might be worth doing. The times I have tried it I didn't really see any difference but the way whoever wrote this explanation did an excellent job.

Tuesday evening was our club meeting. Two of the members brought their copy with them. They said they got theirs that day. I paged through the mag and really liked what I saw. I sure hope I get mine today. I was eagerly awaiting my copy yesterday. No Joy. >:(

A letter to the CLW editor, from John Wegenka. #^ #^ #^
"Tim
I am amazed and thrilled with the CLW that you have
produced. This is much superior to anything that I was able
to envision.
You have assembled a sterling cast of contributors that are
writing from the heart. It is clear that these are not
simply some magazine rewriter working from a spec sheet.
I am reading every article and thoroughly enjoying them. I
am looking forward to trying some of the areas of C/L that
I have not ventured into before.
This is a quality product that is clearly written by folks
that care about C/L and are willing to share. It is
precisely the type of product that will aid the sport.
I simply cannot tell you how thrilled I am with your work.
Thanks of course go out to those who contributed as they are
the fuel that will made this thing go.
Tim – You and John have created a wonderful magazine.
Thanks

Have you contacted Brodak's yet? Of course with the storms the pony express has not got issue 2 to me at this time. Now I have posted this it will probably come today. DOC Holliday

Hi
I really like CLW magazine too! I read it from cover to cover. I received a sample copy of the Premier Issue from Brodak the other day and have now paid for a years subscription. I can't wait to receive Issue #2 here in Australia. I like it how the magazine has a picture of the writers and a brief bio and contact information. It's really good to be able to put a face to the names of people you talk to so far away on the other side of the globe.
I hope I can generate more interest in Control Line here in my new home town. I've already roped in a couple of blokes and have inspired a few others to get their old planes out and dust them off too. I was amazed the other day when a bunch of teenagers hung around for a while and watched as I flew my Super Clown and Saito powered Twister.
Cheers

I went to the Brodak web site and took a look at the preview of upcoming issues and ordered a subscription on the spot. I hope this magazine makes it, I think it will bring a well rounded view of controline to the public. Not just the stunt view.

My Jan issue arrived today- I've already read the ink off the pages. This Thursday night the local R/C club has their monthly meeting- Last month I attended and mentioned that I'm really a C/L flyer spying on the RC guys- I was invited to bring my ARF Smoothie to next meeting for show & tell, now also planning to bring my C/L World to pass around. RC guys very receptive and indicated possible willingness to make some room at their field for CL circle!!

This confirms what I have come to believe. There are a lot of RC fliers who started in C/L and are receptive to trying it again. I think in the past there was a feeling that RC was a step up and few felt like they could go back. Now I think more and more people are seeing that it is possible to enjoy both. I think the wall that once may have separated them is crumbling and several RC clubs in this area are seeing how they can incorporate a circle or two at their flying site. This is a plus for C/L and RC.

I received my 1-1 today! What can I say... Superb!
Not all full of ads like mainstream magazines, just pleanty of good stories to read. I might even build a couple of Flying Clowns now and start a bit of Clown Racing here. Sounds like great fun. I know a few who would probably give it a go.
Cheers

To all who have responded - THANKS for the great feedback. #^ #^ #^
I truly believe that CL World will continue to grow and become the leading international source for CL information and exchange. y1
Now, here's what I need from you. Since I plan on two regular columns, safety and Z-Tech, there's a good chance that my personal information source will eventually become exhausted. :(
So, why not share your ideas with me? Send in anything that you may think is pertinant - personal experience, ideas from any time period, photographs, cartoons - ANYTHING that you may think will make a worthwhile contribution.
Rest assured that you will be given credit for all you contribute, unless you request anonymity. ;D :)
Furthermore, since there is a sizeable number of editors/columnists at this point, you may find other areas of interest to which you can contribute. Why not give it a try? Contact John Brodak, Rich Oliver or anyone else whose name or address appears in the publication.
Check it all out - see what's happening and make things happen.
It'll be win/win for everyone!!!
