Title: C/L flying on the west coast of Florida
Post by: Mark Robbins on July 03, 2013, 02:41:33 PM
Just getting back into CL flying after 25 yrs. I am looking for some  "mentors" to guide my flying experience again, I still have 7 fox .35s. And I am thinking of building 4 or 5 of Mack Henry's Nimbler just to get my feet wet. I used to fly in the Chicago area about 25 years ago. But now the kids are gone, and it's time for some fun. I actually enjoy building more than flying. But I am curious if there are any guys/clubs out there looking to make a good hard push at control line.

Any info would help

There is a small group in Tampa called the Tampa Bay Line Flyers. In Central Florida, there are the X47 flyers.

Welcome back Mark, Ward Van Duzer is an active member on this forum and I think he lives in Bradenton.  You can look him up in the members listing and send him a message and I'll bet he can steer you in the right direction.

Hi Mark
The Tampa Bay guys are pretty active and have a great site at the Manatee County RC field.
There are usually people there weekend mornings.
The site is great, with running water, electricity, a refreshment stand and plenty of shade.
Sunday will be a "Nats sendoff"....come and say hello!
