It is my very sad duty to inform everyone here of the passing of Bob Wiegand. Bob was fairly new to this forum, but not to modeling. Bob and I had dozens of wacky model airplane adventures back in the 1970s, and he was at that time one of my closest friends. We lost touch with each other for a long while but just recently got together on Skype and on the phone. I'll try to type up a few of the adventures we had long ago to post here eventually, but, at this point, having just learned of his passing, I'm just numb and sad. He was one very kind, and gentle man, and I will miss him dearly.

Rest in God's Good Peace my dear old friend; you deserve it.

Bob, Thanks for posting the news about Bob. We were club mates 'back in the day' at Livingston. Just this winter he tracked me down through the forum. We caught up and he was very excited about building himself some planes but did not have any stuff or a bunch of money to buy stuff. We had numerous conversations and emails about technology, equipment, etc. for clown racing and carrier. I ended up sending him a couple of care packages so he could get going and keep busy for quite a while.  He was digging in building new stuff and I was looking forward to hearing about his progress. Sorry he is no longer here!     RIP  Bob
