Golconda International is now open and first flights came on last Wednesday morning.  I have Grub-X on the field and await the rains to put it into the soil of the 200 diameter foot circle.  The "bumps" around the green circle are the 45 degree markers which also have four to six foot markers on the poles.  The winds are normally from the south/southwest and the poles are  on the opposite side.

Rain rain and more rain. I'm sure our field is under water.

Nice field Allen, I'm going to borrow a laser level and set up some poles myself. My circle is 160', I'm pretty tightly bounded. My neighbors love it though, they bring out their lawn chairs and cold drinks and watch me bumble around the circle trying to get back to where I was 8 years ago!!!

PS, one thing you can't see n the picture is the 5' concrete pilot's pad I poured last summer, no more stumbling around for me!

Very nice circle Randy!  I would love to have a place like that in my yard.

Take care,

I too had about a 160 foot circle but took off the top block and rudder on one model as I wandered too far away from the center circle.  I paid a friend with one of those grass chomping big mowers to open up the circle to 200 feet. I can wander a bit more on no wind days and not expect to hit the grass.  The markers are about 110 feet from the center circle.
