Wasteful as I am, I go through a great deal of drawing paper. Redraws actually because I'm always making changes.

So, I never stop looking for places to buy paper that will be great for drawing AND, in my case, I have to be able to CAD draw on it, so it has to be on a roll.

I just picked up a few rolls from Office Depot.

For my use it's great paper, and cheap!  #^

$6.00 and change if purchased on line.

Just thought I'd pass it on.

Out of the 4500 CL modelers, how many do you think design and scratch build?

Be interesting to have the brakedown on that 4500?

I forgot,

These rolls are 24" by 65', and 40lb paper.

So, for 40lb paper, not a bad deal.

LL~  Probably all 4500 in one sense.  Some start with nothing and build something while others start with something and end up with .... ????   LL~  (I know, I know I should be ashamed of myself  LL~ )

I use an older version of AutoCAD, the small stuff I print on letter size paper the big stuff I send to a print shop. Would be nice to have a large format printer but hard to justify for no more drawing than I do.

I'm guessing you send your AutoCAD file, correct?

I can send a file also, but I just put a pen in my plotter and it will draw away.

Okay!!  Okay!!  You win!!  ;D  My ability to print is limited to a pencil and a piece of paper!!  :-[  Of course I do have to invest fairly heavily in scotch tape especially since I do my best designing in the "throne room" ..... Charmin isn't very tolerating of sharp #2 pencil lead!!  LL~

Jim,

I start out with clean white paper.  #^

Light lead pencil, then darker lead pencil eventually ink pen over that. Then ink pen of different colors so I don't get lost in lines.  ;D

Possibly a placement of another clean piece of paper over an area taped in place because I am lost in lines. n~

Back to the lead pencil and ink pens of different colors. 

Eventually thick magic marker, generally black. Too thick so now I need a redraw.  HB~>

Toss everything and start over.  ;D

I gave away my K&E drafting machine long ago.  Now it is easiest to use "Clearprint" 10 X 10 "fadeout" vellum.  The grid lines eliminate the need for a drafting machine, or even a ruler except for diagonal lines!

I use 0.7 mm drafting lead, and skip the ink mess.
