Here are a few thoughts….
How about setting up a few scheduled times for people to meet in the chat room?
This way it would not be hit or miss.
Maybe one time at night and one time during the day.
And maybe our host will spruce up the room a little. All the walls are painted white, and Frank needs his smiley faces. ;D :D ;) :) :P y1 <= ~> #^ x: **)

Right on j1 A slightly different approach would be to set up a radio button that would be illuminated when some one wanted to page you to the chat room if you were on line. embedding instant messaging would also be neat but probably a little hairy to incorporate. But back on point, some way to signal members to go to the chat room for a session would put icing on a terrific forum.

We used to run a "chat" on another board starting at 9:00pm Eastern Time every Thursday and it went very well.

While staying with the wifes aunt in Tuscon for VSC I could use the computor as long as I was off before 09:00 PM as she had a chat group set up. You guys could do the same. DOC Holliday
