Title: Character
Post by: rob biddle on January 23, 2012, 05:18:50 AM
 Hi all,

I posted a question in regards to fitting a spinner to a short shaft O.S 35s in the engines section a few years ago and got a reply recently that iterated to me what control line aeromodelling is all about.

Herb Hanna sent me a p.m asking if I'd like him to turn up a Veco style spinner nut in his spare time over the Christmas break.

Who was I to refuse? In the post last week, turns up, not 1 but 2 aluminium spinner nuts with matching washers. Expertly made!

We've never met personally but I'm humbled to say the least.

As a matter of fact a couple of my best mates locally are gents that I met close to 10 years ago (through stunt) that taught me to go from flying solo without crashing to putting a decent pattern together.

We share a lot of common interests and they alway bend over backwards to help in anyway they can.

It's a shame we don't see this more in everyday life.

 Cheers Rob.

On the whole, modelers are just great people. I have received stuff from people I have never met on this and several other boards. When you stop and think about it, the info we get from others is priceless. That is why I am always ready to help someone with their needs if I am able. And control liners are the best.
