To all you guys with nuthin' to do this week-end,

The CASS will have our regular 4th Sat. Fly-In at Clanton, AL on the 28th.

We are expecting several guests from North Alabama----you Tennessee'uns are welcome, too; as well as other tribes from the region.  We have room for 4 grass circles, if needed.  Clubhouse, running water, real restrooms with shower, shade, electricity and food nearby.   

Directions:

Exit I65 at the 205 Exit, then North on HW 31 for about 1/2 mile, turn left onto County Road 47.  Flying site is about 3.5 miles on the right on Co. Rd. 47.  We plan to get started about 1000 and fly until we're completely worn out!!

How far is Clanton from Dothan?

Henry,
According to maps.com, it is 144 miles from Dothan to Clanton.  I think it said something over 3 hours driving time.

We had several folks from North Alabama--Madison, Ft. Payne, Anniston, etc. plus our regular group.  It was fun but much too windy--we broke six models during the day.  We did get some good flights in, all was not lost.

 8)Henry; I have driven to the Rest Area just north of Dothan in just over 2 hours ,there at Stage Field . When i was in school there in Ozark ,the Aviation school, i would not be in a hurry and make it in 2 hours >

The Mag Plus is proceeding and the New Full Fuse Cavalier, #5 is almost finished. What are the flying dates for May at Clanton and Selma? Last weekend was Talladega, sorry. All work and no fun, you know!
