Center Plate
« on: June 08, 2016, 04:56:23 PM »
The grass at the center of my circle is turning into a dirt hole. Don't think I could handle a concrete cesspool lid. What do you suggest for a center plate?

Thanks,
MM

1 foot square pavers are a buck a piece at Home Depot.

Or, get some gravel, concrete, and reinforcing mesh, and pour a pad in place.

Or, just get some gravel -- as long as no one who uses the field likes to fly barefoot, that works well.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

That is what I did one year at the field north of me.  Sutherlands was closing out what few blocks they had at a dollar apiece.  I took all of them.  Need to do that at our new field.
