Why don't you post on the Barton site where you are more likely to find people who read the Aeromodeller?

Just checked his facebook account and avatar is a nice stunt model so he appears to be still active.

Valentin Salenek passed away in May 2020 as a result of a heart attack. I guess he didn't have a chance to update his facebook page accordingly.
Not sure why there are duplicate threads on this topic, there's more info on the other one.

Interesting I also thought he had a brother ( Viktor? )whom also flew exceptionally well?

I remember seeing video of this in the China worlds 1994 and the design had already seen many many contests.

That "cement mixer" must be circa 1983..

I see active FB accounts for people who I now have passed away all the time. From what I understand, it's difficult to delete an account belonging to some one else who has passed away. When you sign up for an account I think there is a process then for doing this.

There is a way to authorize somebody else to manage your account - somewhere in FB settings.
I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Hello!  You can read more about this aircraft here: https: //clstunt.ru/index.php/chertezhi/pilotazhnye-modeli/120-f2b-001 drawings are informational in nature, and according to Victor they differ from a real aircraft.

Hi PJ, guys...
I had the chance to see that plane flying at the 1986 WCH in Pécs, Hungary.
You are right: AWESOME flying caracteristics and flying skills from Valentin Salenek and his brother Victor...very powerful contestants.
Own engine, dreamed stunt run!
And the plane was a MASTERPIECE, I must add...

A joy to behold...

Claudio.
