Title: Cars, not model planes but REALLY NEAT!!!!
Post by: Bob Zambelli on November 13, 2007, 10:21:39 AM
This fellow, in Florida I believe, is installing an Allison C28B turboshaft engine, as used in the Bell Jet Ranger, in his Ferrari Testarossa!!!   #^ #^
Man, what a project!
550 SHP, over 450 Ft-LBf torque.  ~^ ~^ ~^

It's probably the only thing smoother than a Ferrari V-12.  ;)

Hi Bob,

Hi, Bill - yes, I believe you're right. His is even more powerful - 600 SHP as I recall. Probably a Pratt PT-6.

Must be nice to have that kind of money. y1 y1 y1

He said that one time while he was stopped at a light, a Mercedes pulled up real close to get a look  ----- and, his plastic front bumper started to melt.
