Donaldo...there was one more near-miss...discovered only with the engine running and ready to launch. Guys, take a second to check that your controls are hooked up correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of folks left after Classic was finished...but they missed a pretty good battle in Profile. I know the guy that placed 2nd in  "Sportsman Profile" pretty well, again picked on by an Advanced flier.   LL~   Upon completion of Profile, Howard, Dirt and Paul got out the Impacts and All American EEagle for some slightly needed practise...and I forgot to take my camera.  LL~ Steve

PS: I know the guy that won Intermediate also. Same guy, me. Covey is getting closer, tho...

I did some Judging today, Advanced and Expert. Paul's 2nd flight got no less than three "40's" from me.  I don't give many, and have probably only given a handful in all, including these. I don't recall what manuvers they were for, however.

Well, my weekend finished up a nearly perfect week. Pretty much all bad. sigh...

Hope things improve (and I had just gotten the Shoestring flying decently).

I should say that I wasn't there on Sunday. I tried to get out Saturday evening to trim the PA plane I had pulled out of the rafters, hoping to fly it on Sunday if I could get it in reasonable trim. A seagull did for that so I didn't come on Sunday and instead went to the horse show with my wife. Darned birds anyway. So, down another ship, more's the pity. I'm running out of weapons.

I think you were justified in those 40s.  That was the best stunt flight I've ever seen.

I recall giving Howard 40 for a set of triangles in Pasco a few years ago. I gave somebody a 40 in Portland in April, as I recall, maybe Howard or Paul.

I didn't like Paul's OH8 very well today, due to a lump on the transition from the inside to the outside loop...twice. It's a common error, and I've seen PW do it before. It's while turning the body to follow the plane, I expect. I wish I could do OH8's that well, of course!  y1 Steve

Steve and Howard...YES!
Truly some well earned BIG 40 POINTERS FOR SURE!!! N' THEN SOME!!! H^^ BW@
Bob Parker and I were sittin on the tailgate of a pickup truck...with our "CHOPS HANGIN OPEN as we watched Paul Walker fly one of the most beautifully flown patterns that either of our old tired Eyeballs had ever seen in a very very very long time.

Truly that was an AWESOME DEMO OF WHAT A STUNT PATTERN SHOULD LOOK LIKE!

A few more shots...Starting with Howard Rush's beautiful Impact that's finish really glowed under that dark cloud cover that lingered all day on Sat.

Well, that's certain, though a gallon every 10 years really doesn't count.

If that is the Dirt I know he has sure slimmed down.  Now when is Howard going electric so the tennies don't get all oily?  Great pictures and the guys/gals look like they are having way too much fun.  DOC Holliday

Donnie,

Yea, that's mine. It's sitting under the bench at the moment.

I've had a run of bad luck recently. Hopefully, that will improve.
