Title: Cardinette Partial Kit
Post by: Robert Zambelli on September 18, 2011, 06:50:52 PM
As you may know, I'm still trying to raise funds for the Brodak museum.

This may be of interest: eBay item # 360395092656.

Don't find anything on Brodak's web site.  What does the item number refer to?

Hi, Chucky - it's not on the website. We had originally intended to offer both a kit and an ARF. The ARF failed because to manufacturer just would not produce it. I had two prototypes. I gave one away and  raffled the other at the Fly-In.
The kit would not be offered for a number of reasons.
It's really a great flying stunt plane and should be a winner in the right hands.

Still working out a few problems on my Cardinette that was built from Brodak plans.   May have to shorten the lines to get it to stay out.   Right now flying on 60 feet center of plane to center of handle. H^^

John - I flew both the prototype and the ARF on 52 x .012 lines.

It is the little OS 4 stroke I think is a .23.  It has been a ouple of years since I built it and tried flying it.   Last time was in Springfiled MO at their fun fly.  Amazed at how easy the 4S is to hand start.  I guess I need to get on shorter lines. H^^

John - there are two small OS 4-stroke engines, a .20 and a .26 Surpass. The .20 will pull the plane but not with much authority.
The .26 Surpass, however, is perfect.
