Elliott Scott drew a set of plans for a full fuselage 40 sized Cardinal, called the Evolution (I think). Pretty good flyer....

I flew the Tom Dixon Cardinal 40 at Brodaks this year. I got the foam cores from Tom and scratch built the rest.
The canopy was difficult for me to figure out, so I made up one and changed the stab and elevator shape to what came to mind. The Dixon Cardinal was an easy build, it does not have a cowel covering the motor, so you do have to remove it to access the tank. That was a good deal Tom offered. If you are near the Atlanta side of the world, consider it.
