Is there a reason why we don't see more painted carbon props on our stunt ships (seems like it would have a safety benefit as well as appearance).

H iJAmes,
Really good question......... I believe it might just be laziness! With the repitching that often goes on, maybe the thought is that the paint job would get messed up. ???
Don't really know why I don't paint ours!

For me it is a balance problem. It is a pain to balance them after painting them.

After getting nailed by the one on my Legacy I painted the tips white, does that count ;D

Probably shows up a lot better than the blood red you first painted it with. y1

I think that you should paint the last 1/4" of a carbon prop white or yellow before you balance it and then just leave the very tip alone while you use the rest of the blades for balancing...
Couldn't hurt anyting, could it???

Good suggestion. I'll paint the prop tips. A prop took a nip out of my shirt the other day, reminding me to be a little more careful.

Or even better yet balance the prop then paint it while on the prop balancer. If one end is a little too heavy add a little more paint to the other end.
