Title: Carbon Fiber Veil

I was going to order some carbon fiber veil from CST.  I was wanting to order a 2 yard package for $38.95 until I got to shipping and they want $25.00 to ship it.   Does anyone have a source for this for a reasonable shipping charge?

Mike - Carbon veil does not fold well so your 36” x 72” (1yd x 2yd) piece will be rolled into a 36”+ long parcel.  Here is some info on the 2022 USPS up-charges for “long” parcels:

Parcels that are longer than 22 inches but less than 30 inches will see a $4.00 surcharge.
Parcels that exceed 30 inches in length will incur a $7.00 surcharge.
Parcels that measure greater than 2 cubic feet (3456 cubic inches) will also see a $15.00 fee added.

If you can find one person local to you (RC club?) that wants to jump in and buy one you are both paying $12.50 shipping.  2 other people… $8.33 shipping.  And so on.

Good look finding a solution.  (I’ve gotten all mine LPU at RC swap meets, CL contests, etc)

Thank you Paul.  Shipping charges on just about anything have gone through the roof.  Thank you for the suggestion.

Check on Alibaba.  Maybe buy direct a roll and parse it out.
