 Juan, we have been using 11x5 APC props on our FP and LA 40's with a lot of success, also 10.5 x 4.5 APC props.

There are no carbon props in active production right now in our useful sizes.  Keep trying the classifieds to buy some or go APC route or wood.  A few are making some for their own needs.  Not sure how many carbon props were ever made with that much pitch.  They are mostly for piped engines that run higher RPM and pitches under 5" usually.

How about:

www.aeroproduct.net or

www.eliminatorprops.com ?

They both have useful sizes listed.  Am I wrong?

Not sure about updated info on the sites.  Not aware of any recent manufacture although a few older stock props might be out there.  Bolly quit and Mejlik opted to only make props like 18" and bigger,  doing away with small production.  Brian Eather retired so......maybe somebody I don't know about.

Some people here use 3 blade carbon props 11"x5" on OS max .46 LA whivh we use on electric. I think it will work well for .40 shortened little bit.

What is wrong with the Eliminator and PA props?  Plenty available in all sizes.  You might check before you repeat again that nothing is available.  And Whitney has props available.

I exchanged emails with Brian Eather just a few weeks ago. He sent me his newest price list and did not indicate he was retiring. He did take a "leave of absence" about a year ago for some surgery.

Sorry to all.  I did say there might be someone I was not aware of.  Brian did make me a batch of props last fall but told  me he didn't make many anymore but would open his shop to make me (and someone else) some.  I simply took that as a favor but didn't get any impression he was going to produce again.  Glad that he is. The other you mentioned I've never heard of.

Sounds like I need to order quite a few, and quickly . . . just in case.

That was exactly my thought at the time so I ordered upwards of $400.00 worth then.  Wouldn't have worried about it if I'd have thought I could get more.  Could be Brian found out there was little supply out there so went back to work.

Higher end Quad Copters ... the often disparaged Quad Copters, use pusher and tractor carbon fiber props ... I bought some 12x6-s ... good quality, not pricey.

 Thanks for the wealth of reply`s,I have some homework to do because I would like props similar to the bolly. My engines work great with them. I have used the Zinger 11 X 5 with good results and at one time I had good runs with one Xoar 11 x 6 but once I broke that prop the other Xoar I had didn`t work as good. I have two Os.40 FP`s tuned differently and both worked well with the Bolly. Which of the other CF props you guys had luck with? Thanks again.

Juan;

If you can find one of Windy's videos about props, grab it; it is a wealth of information. They do a lot more than you might think.
