In a word...yes
I use one of Jim Lee's prop scribes, mark off what I want to trim and rough trim with my disk sander then clean up by hand.
I cut down the 12.25x3.75 APC for my LA 46.

Highly recommend Jim's prop scribe for any prop wood or otherwise. It's simply the easiest way to accurately cut a prop down.

Later dude

Like catdaddy says.  No different from trimming any other prop.

I'd say so, YES! I've cut down a few APC's, with good results. My Dirt-tuned ST G.51 likes a 12-5 clipped to 11.5".  I used a 12.25 x 3.75 clipped to 11.5 on a .46LA (with a Mac's Muffler). I've always tried to recreate the stock tip shape with various implements of destruction and grades of sandpaper. I need to get one o' them prop scribers, tho.  Z@@ZZZ Steve

Best prop I have ever found is a 12-6 APC cut down to 11" with the tips left square on my McCoy 40. One nice thing about them is if you find one that works, you can get another one just like it. Down side is they will eat fingers. My friend Bill Schmidt calls them fingermatics. y1
