One of our club members acquired this plane at Brodaks a few years age , never flew it, then used it in a swap for other planes he wanted. It is hanging on my wall now but I have no idea what it is or who built it. The two engines are Fox .35s and the plane spans about 53". I will try to post some pictures here.

Isn't that a Dick Sarpolous design? I think there are plans for it from Carsten's or whoever has that now.

It would be nice if it is, possibly someone will know what the name is ????

At first glance, I see a Tutor II bashed into a twin...

Piper Aztec/Navaho type nose?

That is pretty cool looking! I think you should take it off the wall an fuel it up.

I may do that Chris - We have a couple of twins in the club but I've seen a couple of injuries due to folks forgetting about that second engine..............

I've never seen one fly, but I could see that being a problem for sure!

That one says Sarpolus all over it, especially the paint scheme and colors used. Makes me wonder if Dick may even have built it?

If my memory hasn't completely failed me... TC - 2 by Sarpolus

Jim's got it right, it's a TC-2. The builder of the one shown above has added the "canopy", the original had it incorporated into the fuselage outline. There are photos of the original on pages 26, 34 and 38 of the book "Building and Flying Control Line Model Aircraft" by Dick Sarpolus.

Yeah, Jim got it correct and beat me to it. But the TC-2 was powered by two of the old style steel OS.20's. I have the plans and it's not that large of an airplane. Two .35's of any kind would over power it considerably if that's what it is, but it looks larger to me. Might be a scratch built copy that was enlarged a bit for the Fox engines. Gotta build me a twin real soon. Either the TC-2 or the Sheeks Mosquito kit I have stashed.
Type at you later,

Thanks for the info guys, I may give this one a try if the engines run decent. I guess that might make this a TC-2 II ??????????
This one spans about 53" and is fairly heavy so maybe a couple 11/4 props or the like would slow it down a bit

I'll bet that's the original design size. Hold on tight, should be a hoot with two .35's!
