C-D Trixter
« on: October 07, 2024, 08:48:13 PM »
Looking for a set of full-size drawings of the C-D Trixter.  Designed by Lou Andrews.
I know the A-B Profile version is on Outer-Zone.
Anyone out there have a set?

Hey Jim    Didn't Warren build one of those around 1999-2000???  You might ask him.  Regards,  Roy

Not the same thing as Trixter Barnstormer by Lou Andrews?

I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Warren built a beautiful Trixter Invert Junior for use at VSC one year; late 1990s I think... Warren called me looking for a set of Trixter CD plans just last week. I sent him Jim Lee's email address thinking that if anyone might have a set of AB plans it would be Jim.

Warren asked me what happened to the vast collection of plans that John Miske (The Father of Old Tyme Stunt...) had on file; there certainly would have been Trixter CD plans among that collection. I'll look into that...

John Miske's plans were donated to the Brodak Museum.  However they have not been inventoried or cataloged.

I have the plans, and a flying replica of the Trixter B-C.
Per the catalog on the plans, there was no "Trixter CD".

Thanks Paul.  I sent you a Private Message

I am told that the C-D Trixter wing is based on the Barnstormer and has a 47" wingspan (same as Barnstormer).  Also the C-D has a built-up fuse with a diamond shaped cross-section.

Is this same airplane as the Trixter Invert?

probably...

An internet search on Trixter Invert  yields links to something called WorthPoint with some info.

The model we are seeking has a diamond shaped fuse and a 47” wing span.  I can find info on a  Trixter Invert Junior with a 40” wing span, but nothing on the bigger version.
