The tread casing is separating from the belts. I have had that problem many years ago. You can’t see the problem just walking around the vehicle.
The guy waisted a lot of time getting to the point. Google shows lots of complaints.

busted belt... it happens sometimes. I've seen it on Michelin, cooper, Firestone, etc etc etc. it happens.... and if he couldn't get some sort of warranty on it, he didn't try that hard.
