Title: Buder Park pictures from a Drone
Post by: Fred Cronenwett on January 04, 2019, 05:41:47 PM
I am in the process of writing an article for Model Aviation on Buder Park in the St Louis area and contacted a local done pilot to get these pictures. If you look carefully you can the see the center pads and the carrier deck near the pavilion between the square pad and the speed circle.

Fred,

St Louis Buder Park is truly a great flying site.   Spent two or three best days of my life there.  Looking forward to the article.  Keep us posted.

John - the last time you were here the square pad was in rough shape, it has been repaved and is very smooth, all of the bumps and holes are fixed! If you bounce a landing it's not the circle's fault.

Great aerial shots.   I can still remember the first time I seen Buder from the highway as we were heading west.   I also see it late in the afternoon when the photos were taken.   Now was this a drone or a quad copter? S?P

It was shot from a drone (DJI Mavic) by another person who knew what they were doing with he drone. Kevin Clark is part of the St Louis Whirly Bird's

I stopped by around 3:30pm last Sunday.  Nobody was there.  I was just passing through but I thought I'd stop by and say hi.  I was looking for the chalk to let you guys know that I stopped by.  Maybe next time.  All the best to you guys.

Oh man, sorry we missed you Crist! Mark Hughes was there Saturday, I think. I was feeling a little punkish so stayed home and got a couple of quick flight at a park near mu house. I have got to get some fresh chalk to mark up flying sessions with. I have kind of got out of the habit when I ran out of chalk. Black board chalk stays a little longer than sidewalk chalk. It washes off in the first sign of rain! If you are coming through again sometime, let us know! Ice-O-Lated is coming up fast at the end of February! I just hope we don't get any snow like we just got this past Friday and Saturday! Practically shut the city down!
     Type at you later,

It's the last Sunday in February. I re-read my last post and had the month wrong.  Was thinking of something else for this month. Kind of like having your tongue over your eye teeth and not being able to see what you are saying! I fixed my last post.
