This year, the biggest control line event/party/happening on the planet was better than ever.
I had the pleasure of judging with Chris Sarnowski, Phil Spillman and Richard Peabody - Classic Intermediate and AMA expert.
I have to say that I witnessed some of the best flying I've ever seen at Brodak's.
Some incredible flights were put up by pilots like Joe Gilbert, Kieth Sandberg, Mike Palko, Dan Banjock, Joe Adamusko and Craig Gunder - just to name a few. As i recall, there were more than twenty entrants!
I truly had no idea who would put up the highest score as everyone flew so well.
Hope to hear some good comments.

Very, very true Bob, I was honored to be asked to judge Beginner CLPA with Ted Heinritz and it's great to see a field of 10 or 11 Beginners at any event. Excellent Beginner flights were put in by Chris Keller and David Felinczak, just to name a couple, and the entire group showed a great determination to learn to fly stunt.
It amazes me that people you only get to see once or twice a year can be some of your most valued friends. I make new friends and learn more about this sport every year. This year I learned that you do not adjust your safety strap while making inverted laps over concrete. After that I received offers ranging from working with me at night to get the plane back togather for Saturdays flight to offers of loaning me a plane for the second flight. C/L flyers are great people !!!
My thanks to the Brodaks for another fantastic week !!!!

Oh Bob, you say that EVERY year!
Sorry to have missed it (again) sounds like it was another great get-together. Oh well only another 51 weeks or so til the next chance...

Yeah Dennis, we hear this every year and the debates get started. Yes I missed another one. VSC, NATS, Dallas CL contests and Brodaks are all great contests. Forgot Denver, as it gives me a chance to meet new and old people again. VSC may be the last one in 2013. I do want to get to Brodaks before John closes the door. If nothing more than to spectate and try carrier competition again. H^^

Brodak's is the highlight of my year.
Many thanks to John and Buzz, Alan and Tom
and everyone else who makes this happen.
I always leave the Fly-in wondering how people
can be so nice!
I can't wait until next year.
Cheers!

This was my first time at Brodak and it felt like a week in CL Heaven:) I met so many exciting, friendly people and learned so much from them. It is definitely an event I would not want to miss ever again. My heartfelt thanks go to John and Buzz Brodak and Tom and Allan for superbly organizing and executing such a fun filled week.
