Brodaks Monday

The sun played hide and seek all day and we had a brief light shower. Lots of practice flying and bull sessions.

 Man I'm jealous.

Looks like a Brodak P-40 wing was bashed into a very nice P-47, Tim Stagg?

The "twin engine" Bearcat looks kind of interesting too.

Thanks again Elwyn, keep 'em coming!

He entered it in profile stunt but it only made 1 or 2 laps before something crankshaft related went kablooey. Here's a pic from Monday's test flight.

Yes the Electric P-47 is Tim's, First place Advanced Profile. Oklahoma did well today.. 2nd in Expert, Joe Gilbert flying a Ringmaster 576, John Ashford 2nd in Advanced and me 3rd in Advanced flying my Saito 40 powered Shoestring. Hoping someone shot the score boards, I didn't bring a camera.

Thomas, don't feel lonesome.  I am still here in Shawnee.  Can't rely on kids to come thru when they are supposed to.  But, they say I am not supposed to keep track of the kids say they are going to pay back.  Elwyn,  still getting great pictures.  Thanks, H^^

I,m Surprised that the twin fox didn't last long.
I remember the first flight with it, couple of tweeks and that big old Bearcat flew the pattern.
Thanks for all the updates and pictures. I wish I was there

The twin Fox busted the rear crank. Too bad. But Danny will figure out a fix, I'm sure. I saw many flights of the twin on the veteran (very) overweight  Bearcat at our home field. IT DOES THE PATTERN. Would have been a hoot to see it place high in profile.

I'm quite surprised that the Fox went kaplooey. Dan kept saying I hope it stays together for Brodak's. It was running pretty flawlessly. I just hope it can be repaired. That was quite an undertaking in itself. I did note that he was pushing it harder and harder though. I wonder if it was the crank pin joiner or the crank web itself. I'm sure he's already taken it apart. The plane has a great sound. I also wonder if it was the synchronizing of the two needles which also had an impact. I know at times it sounded a bit off and I was concerned how the crank deals with one lagging. Ken
