A piece of tubing over the small end of the clip will prevent this . Combat flyers can end up with all kinds of line clip issues .Tubing over the line clips at the handle end also prevents snags and miss adjustments from happening in the heat of battle .Brad
Randy,I thought it was the pitman's job to check for that kind of thing prior to launch...... Glad to hear there was a happy ending to the story. Get Angie at the handle yet?John
I had that very thing happen at a spring contest in Huntersville a few years back. My pit man launched my All American Sr. He saw the clip but just after he let it loose. The full up should have told someting was not right. Just before landing the clip snapped back into proper postion, and the plane went straight into the ground. I still have the bell crank.
I'm a failure. No not yet, they're on a visitation schedule that dictates allot. She has the kids this weekend but the forecast is for heavy winds. I hope Friday evening will settle down and give us a little time, 18 MPH is a little too high. Oh BTW, don't let her Mom hear you call her Angie, its Angela! HEHE
Wow, never seen THAT before! Very strange............BIG BearRNMM/AMM
