Title: Brodak Vector ARF
Post by: Richard Grogan on October 14, 2006, 03:30:35 PM
Can anyone tell me about what comes as covering trim with the various color Vector ARFs? I think the one that you dont select a color when ordering is the generic white wing with the circus multicolor  scheme we are all familiar with. What is the yellow one like out of the box, blue one, ect? Thinking about getting one for a throw-down....would just like a plane wrapper version! Oh, and what kind of covering is used?

Get the ARC. The ARF uses cheapo covering, which tends to fall off. When it happens in flight, it's ugly. If you like film, use your favorite, but Polyspan and butyrate dope would be my choice, for durability and repairability, both of which I need.   :( Steve

Thanks Steve!
I plan on using silkspan and dope on the one on my bench and the other one I ordered, but was looking for the ARF as a testbed for my OS SF 40 w/ Leonard venturi and tounge M and ST NVA. I think its going to be a good stunt engine. I've run it up on the test stand and looks pretty good for the Vector. Was looking for the info on the ARF colors just out of curiosity! ???

Thanks again!
