Flying Models arrived today and Brodak has a full page ad for various RC kits. No, these are not the toys he was trying to sell before but lasers cut kits. I guess UC is just not enough to make it?

I think it was more of a question of "opportunity knocking" Brodak had a chance to acquire the old "Spirit of Yesteryear" product line. This included products that had previously been made but Leisure, Astro, and Coverite plus a bunch of SOY's own SAM-class models. I picked up one of the SOY "Satin Doll" kits at Toledo a couple years ago. Pretty bird, wonderful laser kit.
I gotta believe that a few more profitable product lines will only do Brodak (and us) some good!

Dennis,
The Satin Doll by Dave Platt was really one of the sexiest rubber powered models that I'd seen published in FM.
I bought the plans and built the model. It flies wonderful but I've never been able to really let it go because I don't want to lose it. With the SOY kit it can be electric and R/C a win/win for crowded areas.
I'll have to get one soon.
Thanks.
