Hi Bob - Thank you for the offer, I am going to take you up on that! But... (there’s always a “but”)
They’re not “my” pictures, they belong to all of us. As of the time of posting of this message, if I’m reading their numbers correctly, Flickr is reporting 289 people have visited the album, and about 165 people have scrolled through the individual photos. Technically the photos were taken by Rachelle Haughn (I don’t know who that is) at the 2018 Fly-in, and they were posted by the AMA.
So Bob, in Flickr visitors can leave comments on each and every photo. On the picture of sorted and labeled piles of sticks I left a question “what is a leveling bar” because one pile is labeled leveling bars and I haven’t heard that term before. So if you have a couple of spare hours (LOL) it would be GREAT if you would go through the photos and caption them, then post here on SH that you have done so. The photos are pretty good, but it seems like you have a great deal of information locked up inside your person that would make the photo album so much more useful and interesting.
Otherwise I will probably wind up sending you 76 messages, one for each photo, asking “what is in THIS picture?” I was already curious about the full scale engine and others that may or may not be CL Legal (or practical) due to size. So there you have it, there’s my question regarding all the photos. Have at it Bob, I’m looking forward to reading all about them. Oh and by the way: What IS a leveling bar?
Paul
Hi, Paul
Thanks for all the fine photos.
I’m glad you got to see some of the museum.
As you can imagine, it’s been a great deal of work.
At present, we have around 900 engines on display and I have around 300 more to display - all in good time.
Besides setting up the engine display, I had the opportunity to restore the two drone engines (two and four cylinder) as well as the 125 HP Franklin opposed four, which previously resided in a Stinson Voyager.
If you have any questions regarding your photos, let me know and I’ll try and help.
Bob Z.
