Brodak hot rock type handle?

Don't be a cheap skate like me.  Get one of each and tell us how you like them.      Really, what are you using now?   I still use the BigIron version of the EZ-Just Hot Rock Handle.  But I have the Fancher Handles that have narrower line spacing for a couple of planes.

Hey Doc if I had all your cha-Ching I would buy one of every handle on Brodaks site and throw away the ones that don't fit my hand. 
I'm currently using a cable type handle. After talking with someone at our contest some valid points were made about hard points.

  I can't lay my hands on mine right now, but I think they call them Large and Small. The Small seemed to me to be about the size of a Hot Rock and the Large about the size of the regular EZ-Just. The Small was too small for my fat hands, and the large is just a bit too large, so I applied some tape in places to make the feel a bit better. Some consider them "heavy" and I don't know what that will mean to you. They are made of heavy plastic and steel. I would suggest borrowing one to check it out if you can, or consider one of Tom Morris' wooden hard point handles. They are pretty nice and can be custom fitted by yourself. If you are using his cable style handles, I think you'll like the size of the hard point style.

One thing for sure Paul, If you try a hard point handle it will be hard to go back to cable. The only thing is that you will have to have your lines about the same length, and a few different length line clips for adjustment. I made several hard point handles about 10 years ago, and love them. I have one of Jim Lee's line clip benders, and I make them in different lengths and keep them in my flight box. They do give you a more solid feel.

I went to the shop and found two of Jimmy's old EZ Just handles.  I discovered that the handles were available in two sizes.  A 4" and a 5".  It looks like Jimmy used the 4" because of all the wear I see on the handle.  I know that the small handle had less throw than the large handle.  The only adjustment was for line length to neutral.  I do remember the static shock he got in certain weather condiitions.  I heard Jimmy say that the small handle is still his best choice in other materials.  If you need a large and small handle I noticed he has several.  Some brand new.  I hope this helps.

Are you talking about the Reyco wooden handles?  IF so, the small has about an 1/8" smaller line spacing, or about 3 7/8", and a tad larger grip area vertically than the "Hot Rock".  The hot rock fits my hand perfectly, and locks into place against the "nubs" where the cables exit the handle when I grip it.  The Reyco fits my hand also without the pressure from the nubs.  They are lighter than they look, though not as light as the Rock.  All in all, I was very impressed with the Reyco, may even turn into my favorite handle since the Rock is nearly extinct.

I just sold you a brand new Hot Rock so I don't think it is extinct at your house.

The brodak handle 3 and3/8, /this is the small. Dont know what the big handle is. I do like it a lot, the way it fits my hand.
