Neslson plug problem
« on: February 14, 2012, 10:39:06 AM »
I got the following message from Doug Galbreath:

LArry
I notice you were on the Stuka Stunt forum..
In regards to the Nelson head I make and the plug too tight problem. This is the fault of the plugs, not the head. If you would mention this on the stunt forum I would appreciate it. If they would send me the offending plugs I will fix them. I have had to do over 500 of them recently. About one or two out of every 6 is OK,
Plug bodies are made on a multi spindle screw machine. One or more of the spindles seems to have a bad bearing. I did not notice this problem when it first appeared, but I have  been re-threading them ever since.
Thand for Doing this for me.

OOPS!  New message from Doug:

Larry
Thanks for the post you did for me.
One problem. Turns out that my heads have the threads too tight instead of the plugs being off. If anyone is having a problem with the heads,, send them to me. I'll make it right by fixing the thread or replace the head. My apologies to  Henry Nelson.
Thx
