Brodak Flying Clown...
« on: October 07, 2006, 06:52:14 PM »
Here's a little Flying Clown from Brodak. It's got an O.S..15 LA-S for power. I took 3/4" off across the elevator and made up some aluminum L/G. I can't remember if the L/E was sheeted as designed or if I added it with the capstrips, either way, it's done and it's a tough little bugger that withstood a couple lawn dart incidents with no damage**. The main reason I built it was that I thought the design would look really cool with a '30's era Navy scheme on it.

**It was a heck of a lot of fun to fly until I had it sitting on the floor of the shop and my Sterling Hellcat fell on it blasting a hole through the wing. :P

I like the colors you put on your planes Wayne-----you got a knack for putting unique color schemes together. I'm about to start another project. Once I've made headway on the build I will be eagerly seeking a drawing from you.

I'd sure appreciate it if you would post pix of your planes. If I remember correctly you posted a pic recently of the modified Sky Ray and there were planes of interest to me in the background also. I'd like to see them.

Thanks Frank, I appreciate it.
I'm just figuring out the pic posting thing-I'm a complete rookie when it comes to this tekkie pooter stuff. As soon as I get a better handle on it, a few around here might get a little tired of hearing from me! ;D

Just let me know when you need another drawing! y1
