This is indeed sad news all be it appropriate. It took courage to make this announcement but I for one am grateful to all concerned for having made the decision.

Sad because of John's ongoing health issues - he's a fighter and still needs our prayers.

Will, Mark, & Fly-In Crew:  Thanks for your continuing commitment to making this one of the top aeromodeling events of the year.  Hoping for another chance in 2021!

Thanks for the early notice Will. I was half expecting this to happen with the Corona virus expected to peak late May.

Damn! I was planning on winning it this year!

Thanks for the heads up.
I have seen the light, and it’s powered by a lipo.

Even worse the hobby shop is closed.
I may be wrong but I doubt it.
I wouldn't take her to a dog fight even if she had a chance to win.

Thanks for the decision and sharing the info.  Enjoyed the opportunity to prepare, and will still prepare, getting planes ready.

I understand you have to decide now, as it takes months to do all the preparation and planning involved in the Fly-In.  I appreciate you letting us know, as I was able cancel my hotel reservations with no penalty.  Travel restrictions being what they are right now, Len & I are likely not going to be able to cross the border from Canada to the USA within the near future so we would likely have to cancel our trip anyway.  Stay healthy!

Brodak News: Although the Hobby Shop is closed for the moment, it is only a temporary thing! It is scheduled to open back up in a week or two at the most. This information is from a most reliable source!

They shut down the web site, model aviation takes another big hit. Hope they find the cure for this soon.

Toledo show & Brodak were cancelled. Swap meets and other contests in the St Louis area have been Cancelled. St Louis County Parks have closed all parks (that includes Buder Park) to keep people from meeting in groups. The Lafayette Esquadrille will be meeting on April 9th to discuss the contest calendar for 2020. Make no mistake this is a huge problem, there are people that have died and are some that are very sick. Follow the guidelines, stay at home so that we call fly again later in the year. I know that I don't want to get it!
