Today I received my package from John Brodak. He sent me a pint of white a and a half pint of red and a half pint of clear. He also included a quart and a pint container of thinner. This was a sample. Along with it in the package came 2 DVD'S and a catalog of his products. As I have stated on another forum I have never used his products. But I have got to tell you this is first class. He sent me enough dope to paint the Satona (FREE OF CHARGE) and upon reading the catalog there are many things I will use.
I will write a detailed report on the use of this paint.

Watch out Robert, that catalog will entice you like one of Homer's Sirens. Everytime I pick it up I see many things that I must have.

When I look at a Brodak catalog, I get the same feeling I got looking at the Sears Christmas Toy catalog when I was a kid. y1

I know it's bad, having built six or seven of his kits. With a good five or six on shelves in the work area. Then there are those three ARFs of his that I haven't yet put together. It's bad. Very bad. I know it. Even have a jones for the biplane (the other one, not a bi-slob) and a Fancy Pants. Worst of all, I would love to do another round with Flite Streaks (I've all ready build three) Busters and Galaxies. In a while it'll be the more serious stunters. A profile Oriental and an Oriental. Cosmic wind. Have to build a Cosmic Wind. So what. There is no justification for any of this. Red. Only one half a pint of red? How can you get bye without a half pint of Fokker Red, Insignia Red and Miss Ashley Red. Working my way through the blues also. Then there are... then there is... THE FLY-IN!

I only use a 1/2 pint of white to paint a whole plane.

But remember, if you brush it straight from the can it will probably cover in one wavy coat. I say brush because you probably couldn't get it through a sprayer straight from the can. ;D
And if you make the fly-in you gotta take the factory tour (assuming John still has them) and also pass through his hobby shop (betcha can't get through there without laying some stuff on the counter so you can continue "looking"). ;)

The white is Brodak, the colors are what I had around. Brodak dope works good smells bad. The fuel proof part I am not worried about because I top coat all my planes with 2 part auto Urethane.
