I was just on Brodak's website and in the product spotlight, it shows the United kit, but what it does show is a cobra canopy and landing gear. I checked the kit list and it doesn't show the cobra. Is it coming out by Brodak or was it a kit?
Thanks

Matt - Just got off the phone with John.
He offers a "short kit" of the Cobra.
Best if you get the exact details from him.

I also noticed the canopy and landing gear and ordered and received them. Tom Dugan talked to John Brodak about 1 and 1/2 yrs ago and John made a run of Cobra short kits with all anouncements on SH. I bought one at that time, so he must be doing some more.

At the time I got mine the instruction book for the Ares was included as one for the Cobra had not been made yet. Also I'd bet if several of you ordered them at the same time you'd get them quicker.

Brodak may be onto something here. Short kits so that you can pick out your own sheet wood and blocks. Just a thought, I know quit thinking, DOC Holliday

Did you build it yet? If not any progress?

Hi Leester, are the plans in the short kit my plans or did john change them
-
Hi Walter: I believe they were modified. BTW can't wait to get that Spitfire from ya S?P

credits fish removed, title block was changed and looks like the the snake on the fuse sheet was replaced with the gear.
they still look great.
man do I remember all that went into that one, looking back at the pictures... there was a lot of block material, the rest of the blocks were on the kitchen counter.
no wonder John only did a short kit

If I knew that the community wanted short kits over full kits, I'd be on that like.. well you can fill that part in. LOL !

I'd be in on that one. Have loved the Cobra for ever! I like short kits better than full kits. All the hard stuff done and I get to pick my own hardware, etc. H^^

Walter, just think about how much time you could save making short kits. I know Mikey did that with the Primary Force. I have done a couple of kits from different sources in which I had to be careful with the sheet wood. Even some I got at local hobby shop was the pits. I still contend some wood is too light.
