Hi guys. Anyone have experience flying the Brodak Bearcat kit ? I have a chance to get one at a good price and wondered as to the flying qualities of this bird. What does it's flying qualities compare too ? A Nobler maybe, or a Vector maybe ? Or is it more like a Ringmaster in it's flying qualities. Anyone with hands on experience, your input would be appreciated. Thanks :)

It's a Pat Johnston design, so I'd bet that it'll fly well enough to compete in Expert in many contests. If it's well powered, well trimmed and well flown, of course! H^^ Steve

Thanks Steve. That was a helpful comment. :)

I'm curious about the Bearcat myself. Anyone here actually build one yet?

Got the kit, to be built. A friend (Nats Advanced flyer) built the Brodak (Pat's design) Spitfire and was very pleased with it's performance.
I built Pat's profile P51 and it is the best flying profile that I have flown-----whatever that means!
Pat's designs are very good-------go for it!

Thanks Jim. Anyone know if this kit is classic legal ?

Has anybody seen any of Pat's designs not fly well if built correctly and set up to specs??

Probably not "Classic Legal" after thinking about it. Should use my brain before I use the key board ! :)

This quote probably should go for all of us. Especially me, myself and I.
