Can someone tell me if the Brodak Buster is the Goldberg Buster replicated?

For all intents and purposes yes it is. I believe he uses a 1/16 sheet leading edge for weight reduction so if you want to put a 35 stunt on it I'd recommend getting some solid LE stock.

As noted, wing construction is vastly different - as, of course, is the airfoil.

Actually the sheeted leading edge is much stiffer and likely controls vibration etc . much better than a solid Ringmaster type of LE. Why would you want to replace that! The Buster is not OT legal anyway so why does it matter! The airfoil is probably improved also!

My Brodak Buster has the SOLID square stock leading edge, cap stripped ribs and sheeted trailing edge.
also has upper and lower spares the entire length of the wing.
very stiff wing on mine.
I have a McCoy 35 red head on mine as well.
Mine is covered in 100% Tower Kote iron on film.

I ran mine with a Tower 40 screaming lean. Fantastic fun. Better construction than the CG version. Way better wood. Light and strong.

Mine was morphed into a Buster-Cat carrier plane. Currently w/FP-40. Buster was my first "big" plane-building another one stock is on the list. 8)

Was my first "big" airplane (CL) too. There was a CG kit on Ebay but it went for $113, not way am I paying that no matter how bad I want to build another one. $3.95 was what I paid for that kit and I flew it and flew it. Strange but I can't remember what ever became of it.

In the late 60's, three other buddies and I flew combat with the Goldberg profiles and had a blast. The only rules were one of those profiles, a plane bearing 35 on 10% fule and 60 foot lines. Talk about even matches - as said before, that might just be the most fun I've ever had flying combat!
