Title: Brodak 40 new versus old

I would like to see some comments about the Brodak 40. I think I have an old one?  Some one said the new ones are much better? That the old ones are impossible.  So please add your comments so I can get an education on the Brodak 40.

Wow, impossible is a strong word  :)

There really isn't much difference, the first run will run just as good as current production. The first couple of runs had a couple small QC issues but nothing that couldn't be taken care of by anyone that can turn an Allen wrench.

If I was to buy one used I wouldn't even bother to ask which run it was..

HI Chuck,
I have heard the talk about all the "runs" of the B-40, but not seen evidence of their being issues with any difference in how the engines actually "run".  The sleeve deal was probably the issue that gave the early ones their "bad press".
