BRODAK .25
« on: May 26, 2006, 07:18:25 PM »
As many of you know I am quite fond of those old Sterling Profile kits. I have received my own Brodak .25 engine and have mounted it on my Sterling P-51B( my own modification) and got to fly it this week. I ran the engine twice on the ground with an APC 9 X 4 prop and the third run was a flight! The wind was moderate to heavy so when it landed safely I put it away and went home! Wednesday I traveled to Wooster Ohio to fly with friends and got it in the air for two more flights. I fly on 58' eyelet to eyelet lines of .012 braded cables. The B-25 has a nice wet 2 to hard 2 break and literally groweld through the complete pattern! Not PA quality but fun quality. I think that John has a winner here. Phil Spillman

Hi Phil,

I think you're right.  I've got one on my Oriental and it's got plenty of power and gives a good steady run.

See you in a couple of weeks at the Flyin. y1 y1 y1

Gald to hear the good reports on the Brodak 25.  Guess I had better get mine started.  DOC Holliday
