This years Brodak event was one for the record books. The weather was perfect, there was a good crowd, and the hospitality was outstanding. I want to say I was especially impressed with Bob Zambelli's effort in organizing the historical engine collection in the museum. Great job Bob.

It was indeed a wonderful event. And, for me, I enjoyed making new friends as much as flying. Hospitality was outstanding.

I've been going there since 2005. It went very smoothly. No rain delay and no wind.
84 entries was a little low by Brodak standards. I write that off to the the F4 WC in Europe and the F2 WC in Muncie. Some people have time and money limits to the major contests they can attend within a three-month summer.

Did they do Junkyard Wars this year?

Would have been there if I had a way. H^^

Did they do Junkyard Wars this year?
YES. Three teams entered Junk Yard. One flew pretty good. One sorta flew. One didn't fly.
The BIG upside is that Buzz had a good time and is firmly committed to the continuation of the event.

Where's all the pictures? ???

Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures of the event, only some of the choice looking models. I was too busy getting grounded since this was my first time at Brodak. I'd suggest you try facebook Brodak Event 2024 I believe there's good take of what went on.

Sparky covered the events all week on YouTube live. Tons of pictures and videos on facebook. The weather made for a great week. Light winds and temperatures in the 70's and low 80's, Attendance was up slightly from last year. Hopefully it continues to trend that way.
Mark and Will did a fantastic job as did all of the event directors, judges, score sheet runners, food tent, registration, museum etc. Buzz is planning the Fly-in for 2025. Don't miss it!
