Save the date

•   Old Time Stunt           Tues and Wed (one round per day)
•   Old Time Stunt IGNITION     Tues and Wed (one round per day)
•   Classic and Super 70’s      Thu, Fri, and Sat (one round per day)
•   Banquet and Awards      Sat evening

We plan to use the Riverpark Inn as in the past several years.  Hotel rates not yet finalized. 

VSC format and site are the same as the past few years with a few additions described below:

Additions for 2014

Super 70’s
•   VSC 2014 will offer Super 70s in addition to the traditional VSC events (OTS, OTS Ignition, and Classic).
•   Super 70s will be run concurrently and be comingled with Classic; same circles, same judges, same rules, same appearance venue.   
•   A contestant may enter only one of the events (Super 70s or Classic). We have been doing this locally for over a year with good success.
•   Models eligible for the Super 70s event must have been designed, built, or flown January 1, 1970 through December 31, 1979.  Models designed, built, or flown prior to January 1, 1970 are not eligible.
•   Rules posted on the Cholla Choppers web site

Exhibition Event
•   Venue to display/ fly  cool airplanes and equipment of yesteryear
•   Build and fly something cool, but not necessarily competitive.
•   Award for best  “Spirit of VSC” participant
•   Plan to fly after OTS
•   No Entry formality - Show up, and show us what ya got.
•   AMA license and pull req’d

Ringmaster (Tentative):
This is tentative at this time.  We are considering having a Ringmaster event as done by the Brotherhood of the Ring.  Likely to run concurrently with OTS but on a different circle (grass).  Stay tuned as this unfolds
