We went by Tom Morris's shelter which was full of all the things a stunt flyer needs; especially if you fly electric. Tom and Sparky were comparing notes. Tom had a large number of built airplanes for sale, both electric Cavalier and Glow engined Old Time Stunt airplanes. Tom plays guitar, sings, and is one of the biggest promoters of electric powered airplanes. He is also a very nice man.
We wandered by the Model Engine Collector's tent, and Bill Mohrbacker The MECA president Was displaying and running old engines, both Ignition and glow. He even had a GHQ that had good compression! Sadly, it refused to anything other than splutter.(while I was there) I heard later that it ran for a minute or so. He ran a glow G-mark .30 and an OS Wankel .30.
Bill was recruiting members for MECA. I hope he got some.
