Brodak's Flyin 2008

          Brodak's Fly In 2008 will include Classic as usual for airplanes
designed and constructed prior to Dec 31, 1969.  In addition, as a separate
subclass, we'll have Nostalgia-79, for airplanes designed and
constructed after the Classic cutoff date, but before Dec 31, 1979.
The classes will be flown on Classic day, Wednesday, with Nostalgia-79
immediately after Classic for each skill class in both rounds. Please
note that any flyer may enter only Classic or Nostalgia-79, not both.
Dated models of Classic or Nostalgia-79 will each be flown in their
respective class with no eligibility to enter the other class.

Pandora's box is now open for business...

In the process of acquiring a list of Nostalgia-79 eligible models, I have gleaned
information from my Flying Models paper-printed plans list.  I will begin looking at
Model Aviation, Stuka, Tom Dixon, Model Airplane News plans list (yes, the still
sell control line plans via the Internet),  and John Pond plans list, now hosted by
AMA for more models.

If you have accessed a simple list of models designed, published or kitted after
December 31, 1969 and before December 31, 1979, could you email that list to me?  I
do know of some early '80s models published are legal since they were designed and
flown before they were published in Jan, Feb, Mar, etc. of 1980.  The Bill Werwage
Juno would be one example.  I will try to take the time to compile a list.  Please
send me the list in order if possible:

I have been in contact with Allen Brickhaus concerning the eligable designs . He sent me this outstanding picture taken in 1975  . thought you might want to check it out . Looks like it's time to get out the old photo albums and fire up the scanner .

I am torn between a 1978  Stan Powell Dove powered by one of his great running k&B 40   and a 1975 John Hagan Astarte . The Astarte is a FM Construction Article , Will power it with a Tom Lay ST60

Thanks for offering the Nostalgia'79 Class at Brodak's . I can't wait to see what models are brought out for all to see for the first time in years . Hopefully some of the Old original models can make it out too .

I have a Astarte by John Hagan  planned in the near future , We have located the original, Flying Models published in June 76 .
