Hello guys:
a dominant factor in the development of aero modeling in Brazil, was certainly the unconditional support of Mr. Thomas Case, leading groups of Brazilians to NATS and Brodak as a sponsor.
It did, with the help and knowledge of you, a consistent improvement in the construction and performance of flight.
Thank you all.
elizio - BRAZIL
P.S.:
hi Claudio: the Extra - Mr. Thomas
hi Bryan: in shot, it's I and my FW 190 D.
-
Elizio,
Great shots !!!!
You guys do it up right. Big crowds, big band, and a nice flying site.
I do have a question. I see the pit is on the out side of the circle. How do you set up your lines. Are the lines not out in the circle? Or do you hook them up before you fly?
-
Boy, you guys know how to finish airplanes, they look great!!!!!
-
Thanks for the great pictures. You have a beautiful flying site. The quality of all the airplanes is amazing.
I think that we all have to give Mr. Case a world wide thankyou for support, not only in Brazil, but for all of us.
-
Aren't there any ugly planes in Brazil? They are all really nice. Thanks John
-
I can confirm that.
-
What are next year's dates? I may just have to fly down there and be a spectator/helper!
-
well we can arrange for Mike to be a judge and have some pretty assistant to feed him tropical fruits and juices specially while I am flying #^ #^ #^

Elizio
Nice pictures!
Glad to see so many nice looking stunt planes!
The FW in post # 2 3rd pic is yours?
Noticed one in you avatar.
Sure would like some info on it!
Thanks
David

Elizio, I am in awe of such a gorgeous flight line. I havent seen that much variety of beautiful CLPA airplanes in one place in a very long time. If I could stand and clap before you all ,I would this very moment. Your pictures show the passion for design and finish that attracts me most to CLPA. It makes me wish for my northern winters to be spent in Brazil and to bring you all home for the summer! So many smiling faces, you must be having fun! H^^
-
I personally think that Howard and Marcucci are completely wrong.
Vide Gisele Bundchen e Luisa Brunet.

If I may I will answer this for Elizio. I think you are refering to the picture where many models are in the outside circle but this picture was taken before the contest started. Once the circle is called closed for practice every body clears the area. We have a proper pit area long enough to set and hook up the lines and do the pull test for 3 planes for each circle.
Hope I have answered your question.

OK, I understand now. Thanks Martin for clearing that up for me.
You guys have a great setup and build some very nice looking models.

Back in the 90's, I was the first guy from my office to go to Brasil (Belo Horizonte & Vitoria). To be sure no one else wanted to go, when I got home I reported "Lousy weather, bad food, and ugly women". It didn't work!
-
Elizio,
Any hints on what technique was used to get those gorgeous transparent finishes like the one on the red Impact? Just stunning. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Great to see pictures of their flying site. They are very fortunate have a gentleman like Thomas Case. I will never forget meeting tham at the Worlds when they were in Muncie. They do build very beautiful aircraft and are very beautiful people. I too would like to visit them sometime. Thanks for the great pictures.
-
Very Slick. I especially like the Mosquito.

Beautiful airplane elizio #^
Even as a combat flier kid in the 70s I wanted to build one.
Please post some info and plans availability.
Plan on a FW one day soon(?)and would rather not draw it myself!!!
I am correct in that it is a FW and not a TA?????
Thanks
David

Thanks Elizio
Plenty of food for thought.
Nice work.
Plans?
-
Hi David:
I'm sorry.
Plans in my mind only.
Scribble the design part, as I cut and glue in place. I dont't have a whim to copy them all in a specific location.
Sorry again.

No problem Elizio
Guilty of same process.
Since the C/L and stunt bug bit me a few years back have been wanting to do radial engine stunter.
Recently has come down to a toss up of the FW190 and one of the 1930s air racers.
Your FW is pulling me hard in that direction!!!
Thanks
David

Hi Guys:
the Brazilian NATS was organized by FMDESP (Federação de Modelismo Desportivo do Estado de São Paulo), Bene Rodrigues the President and his family. The whole event was sponsored by the City of Sao Paulo.

Beautiful photos, thank you.
I'm so glad to see that you guys have a choice, and yet still build beautiful planes and don't need any rule or points incentive to do so, other than your love of beautiful planes. I wish we could join you. :)
David, You may want to look here: http://www.rsmdistribution.com/index-2.htm
Eric at RSM makes an excellent laser cut kit of the FW 190 D (or can be TA 152, fuselage almost the same) It is also CLASSIC legal. (I think it won the 1970 Nats with Keith Trostle at the handle?, it's Keith's design). I have seen this plane fly and it is great, looks very scale in flight.
Thanks again for all the beautiful photos Elizio, the planes were nice too. ;)

Hola Elizio:
muito bonitas las fotografias que publicaste, sobre todo las del ultimo nacional brasileño.
besos y abrazos.

Great photo report, Elizio. Results might add interest! We hear glowing reports from Howard, but I must say that I'm puzzled by the sign on the fence "Modelista E Usuarios Por Favor Colaborar com Limpeza". I have it all figured out except for the "com Limpeza" part, and figure that must be a slam on Howard or perhaps the JCT in general? LL~ LL~ LL~ Steve

Hi Steve:
the culprit of the warning: :D :D :D :D
Hi Mansila:
I love Argentina and our friends!

In our bodies and cabeça
The JCT is muito limpeza.
Caution: the above is written partially in a language not understood by the poet.
-
I'm sorry Steve, I did not understand your opinion.
Howard is an exceptional person, a true gentleman and deserves all our respect.
My English is very poor, usually use the Google Translator and that's where things are not right.
I'm sorry!

Elizio, if you keep posting pictures of pretty Brazilian women, you won't ever have to apologize about anything ever again-honest-I guarantee it. :)

You might get agreement on the first of those, but probably not numbers two and three.
Obrigado

Hummm?
It would appear that someone broke into Walkers hanger and "borrowed his old China Syndrome Impact?" LL~

We agree completely about Howard (and Phil)! A serious competitior with mirth bubbling away on the surface, always looking for a good time to break out... y1 Steve
PS: I still dunno what "limpeza" is, but it sounds like it could be cured with Viagra or Cialis? LL~ LL~ LL~
-
Hi Steve:
cleaning means, let the whole place clean, without any dirt.
Actually it is very difficult to think of as a Brazilian and imagine yourself as an American.
We are here to make jokes of something bad.
But I could see, the opportunities I had to go to their country, and only had to learn new concepts, of course, all very good and I serve as an example.
Thank you, USA, for everything.
elizio
P.S.: translation by Google; if wrong, I'm sorry.

Looks like our friends in Brazil know how to do it. Good show, nice fields, you cannot beat the Latin outlook for happiness and good times.
-
Indeed they do.
-
Naaaaa,
That plane is a CHAMPION! it says so on the inboard wing!

Opps! Thanks for setting the paint scheme straight...(Hey Grunts...here is the shot of Paul's China Syndrome CLPA beauty

That airplane belongs to Amilton Magri. He flies it well. Amilton is one of the two very clean people pictured below:

The trees that appear purple in the picture above are actually purple, some of the many interesting Brazilian flora and fauna. I regret that we missed some of the finest fauna, the beach being chilly and rainy.
