Title: Brass to alum
Post by: Bootlegger on August 07, 2011, 09:19:55 AM
Guy's I am trying to figure a way to attach muffler lugs to an older Fox slant plug engine.  The engine is either an old 35 or 36, I have tried J B weld to no avail, so I am looking for other idea's.
    Thanks a lot, Gil :!

Weld (Solder)Aluminum to Brass:
All State welding catalog. Flux and filler rod. Toxic(?) difficult to figure out how to use works good.
Dont remember name of product but will look in the welding boxes tonight and see.

Used for brass fitting to Aluminum dry sump tanks(why?) by Lola race cars and by me to fix said Lola's

Used for Brass fuel filler cap fitting to Aluminum fuel tank on Aeronca 7 ACs and such...

Idea #2--Go find a restorer at the airport and take pictures of the FW 190 to send me PLEASE!
